After meet and greet at Kigali International Airport, you will be brought to your hotel where you can relax, unwind and prepare for the wonderful adventures that await you for the next coming days.
Genocide Memorial Grounds
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Genocide Memorial Grounds, a beautiful place where you can learn so much about the rich culture and history of Rwanda. Then, after that, you will depart for the world famous Akagera National Park – home of the Big Five and all other big game animals.
Akagera National Park
On this day, you will go on an early game drive to catch heaps of wildlife herds scattered across the park. In the afternoon, you will go on a boat cruise for an hour to see beautiful water animals and birds.
Full-day Game Drive
You will spend this day at Akagera National Park for a full-day game drive and have a picnic lunch among the wild.
Nyungwe Forest National Park
Nyungwe Forest National Park lies southwest of Rwanda and covers a vast area of rainforest that hosts a variety of primates including chimpanzees as well as owl-faced and colobus monkeys. You will also see Canopy Walkway, which is part of the Igishigishigi Trail, that offers views over the valley, surrounding forests, prolific birdlife, and a stunning waterfall.
After a sumptuous breakfast, you will enter Nyungwe Forest for an exciting chimpanzee trek. An expert guide will walk you through the forest and navigate you to where the chimps and monkeys are. By lunchtime, you will return to the hotel to eat and then have the rest of the day to relax.
You will start the day early as you will go on a five-hour drive to Kibuye. Along the way, you will enjoy the thousands of beautiful green hills as well as Lake Kivu where you can have a boat safari.
Volcanoes National Park
Home to mountain gorillas and all other primates, Volcanoes National Park is popular for a reason. It is also home to golden monkeys, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, African elephants, black-fronted duiker, bushbucks and many more! Harboring 178 bird species including at least 29 endemics to Rwenzori mountains and the Virungas, Volcanoes National Park definitely offers an unforgettable safari experience. Plus, you also get to meet up with the people in the community.
You will start this day with a filling continental breakfast then later head to the Volcanoes National Park again for a memorable gorilla track experience. This activity will take you as long as possible so you will all carry lunch packs with you.
Meet the Golden Monkeys
Yet another amazing adventure this day has in store, you will drive back to the mountains as early as possible after breakfast, then you will yet again get another experience a great time with the beautiful golden monkeys for half a day then drive back to the hotel for lunch and later do a community walk.
Today, you will head to the airport after breakfast. This marks the end of your tour.
