Murchison Falls National Park
After an early hearty breakfast, you will be driven to Murchison Falls National Park. This journey takes approximately 6-7 hours with stopovers at interesting tourist attractions en route. Once you arrive at the park, you will have a tour at the top and bottom of the falls – you’ll barely want to put down your cameras here. The most impressive view is probably the foaming waters rushing into the gorge with a deafening roar. After dinner, you will have dinner and then retreat at your exclusive lodge.
Game drive & Boat cruise
Call time for today will be very early at 6:30 am for an unforgettable sunrise game drive in the Nyamsika plateau. The animals you can possibly spot are Rothschild’s giraffes, Cape buffaloes, Uganda kob, hartebeests and waterbucks. You may also see warthogs, oribi, Bohor reedbucks, shy sitatunga, bush duiker and bush pig. Large mammals such as lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas like to make an appearance, too. For the primates, chimpanzees and olive baboons are most abundant among the six species of primates found in the park. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile and a prolific birdlife is very evident in every area. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before setting off in the afternoon for a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. The boat stops just feet from the “Devil’s Cauldron” for pictures to be taken. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Back to Kampala
You will have nature and community walk right after a filling breakfast. For this, you will have a chance to see more animals and birds and maybe even relax with them around you. Then, you will be taken back to Kampala. This marks the end of your tour.
